Recently, Internet TV has won the favor of consumers because of its ability to browse news and video on demand. Internet TV emerged in 2008, and the Internet TV function was further improved in 2009, and it is popular in the color TV market. In 2010, Internet TV finally became the standard equipment for home entertainment TV. At present, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television has issued Internet TV licenses to a number of media, and the process of triple play is accelerating. Internet TV brands quickly increase the follow-up of foreign brands

According to the retail monitoring data of Zhongyikang Times (CMM), in 2008, only one brand was selling TV on the Internet. In 2010, there were 19 brands selling Internet-enabled TVs.

Domestic brands have always had a positive attitude towards Internet TV, and sold the first Internet TV in April 2008. After that, they continued to improve the Internet function and introduced multiple Internet series TVs to the market. Foreign brands have adopted a wait-and-see attitude during the period when Internet TV was just emerging. It was only in April 2009 that the Internet TV market was tested. As Chinese consumers continue to pay attention to Internet TV, the attitude of government departments towards Internet TV is becoming clearer. Foreign brands have clearly defined the development direction of Internet TV functions and started to market products with Internet functions. Like Samsung's INTERNET@TV network pass-through function, you can browse Sina news, weather, stocks, public comments, hummingbird pictures and more. LG has launched the WebTV network tour feature. Panasonic also recently launched a plasma TV with Internet capabilities.

According to the retail monitoring data of Zhongyikang Times (CMM), Internet TV has grown rapidly since 2010. While domestic brands maintain rapid growth, foreign brands are gaining momentum. In April 2010, domestic TV retail sales increased by 2897.1% year-on-year, and foreign investment increased by 7587.4% year-on-year. By December 2010, the year-on-year growth gap of foreign-funded Internet TVs slowed down by 395.6% and 631.3% respectively. Foreign brands have really begun to chase domestic brands in the field of Internet TV. (see picture 1)

High proportion of new Internet TV products listed in 2010

Nowadays, in the color TV store, a variety of new products emerge one after another. From ultra-thin LED TVs to the latest and most dazzling 3D TVs.
