The data shows that the scale of China's LED display application industry is generally stable, and the number of enterprises with LED display as the main business in the country is around 400. In 2012, the national LED display market sales totaled 25.3 billion yuan, an increase of 15% over 2011; in 2013, the national LED display application industry market growth rate was about 10% to 15%, the total market is 28 billion yuan about.

Guan Jizhen told reporters that from the perspective of overall technological innovation, some key enterprises actively undertake various scientific and technological projects and are supported by the National Development and Reform Commission's special energy conservation and industrialization projects; the overall technological innovation direction of the industry is mainly concentrated on large-screen control and high density. It shows new product development, special project engineering design, LED display application expansion products, product reliability, energy saving, etc. In the field of traditional LED display, various indoor and outdoor LED display key technologies are basically mature, and the whole product is reliable. So for the LED display industry, how is the next step in technology development? “It is necessary to improve product quality as a breakthrough in technological innovation.” Jiang Fengyi, vice president of Nanchang University and director of the National Silicon-based LED Engineering Technology Research Center, told the China Electronics News.

Jiang Fengyi suggested developing and applying reverse polarity LED chips, reducing operating current density, improving luminous efficiency, improving reliability, and making the display more energy efficient. Chip: "four high" corresponds to more requirements

Brightness improvement is an eternal issue in LED chip manufacturing. In addition, as one of the leading factors determining the quality of LED display, what are the specific effects of the technical level of the chip on the quality of the display? Jiang Zhongyong said that the specifications of the chip determine the specifications of the package, and the requirements for uniformity are increasing. The level of electrostatic protection of the chip is inseparable from the long-term stable operation of the display; the more consistent the junction capacitance of the chip, the better the uniformity of low gray scale; The chip also determines the proportion and level of small leakage of the LED display.

Specific to the indoor display, the "four high" attribute of the high-quality LED display puts specific requirements on the chip. Dr. Wang Jiangbo from R&D Department of Huacan Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. said in an interview with China Electronics News that the first is “high density”, the chips are getting smaller and smaller, and the requirements for consistency are getting higher and higher, but for single chips. The brightness requirement is lower; the second is "high scan". Devices: Five trends lead technology development

LED display devices are another dominant factor in determining the quality of LED displays. "At present, five trends are leading the development of industry technology." The light pollution that is everywhere can already affect the lives of ordinary people. After last year Shanghai introduced the mandatory standard for brightness limit of LED display in public places, from May 1 this year, from 22:30 to 7:30 the next day, Guangzhou's outdoor LED electronic display was required shut down.
