Jixi Pumped-storage Power Station Feasibility Study Report Passes Review

From September 26th to 28th, the Water Resources and Hydropower Planning and Design Institute together with the Anhui Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Energy Bureau hosted the review meeting of the feasibility study report for the Jixi Pumped Storage Power Station in Huangshan. State Grid Corporation East China Branch, Anhui Power Company, State Grid Xinyuan Company and provincial, city and county related units attended the meeting.

The meeting unanimously held that in less than two years, the Jixi Pumped Storage Project completed the planning review and pre-feasibility review, obtained the “road”, completed the review of many special topics such as environmental protection and immigration, and the feasibility study report. The "Kixi Speed", which is the fastest speed for the pumping and storage project, has been created, reflecting the "Jixi Spirit". The meeting heard reports from the East China Institute of the main survey and design results of the report, and was carefully discussed and reviewed by the professional group. Experts in the review considered that the report had met the requirements for the content and depth of survey design work in the feasibility study phase and basically agreed to the report. The feasibility study report of the project passed the review and laid a solid foundation for the realization of the targets approved by State Grid Corporation for reporting during the year. The project has taken a substantial step toward the early start of construction.

The pumped-storage station sites in Anhui Province are rich in resources and construction conditions are good. New pumped-storage power stations in the province are considered to be built in the province. In addition, Anhui Province has close contact with Jiangsu and Shanghai power grids and meets the peak load adjustment requirements of the province. In addition, there are conditions to support the demand for pumped storage power stations in Shanghai and Jiangsu power grids. In addition to the established Shaoshan, Xianghongdian, Xiangshui River and Foziling under construction, the survey and design work at the planning stage has been completed in 6 sites including Jixi, Tongcheng, Ningguo, Jinzhai, Yuexi, and Handan in Anhui Province. . Jixi has completed feasibility study of the project and Tongcheng and Jinzhai are carrying out survey and design work in the pre-feasibility study phase.

Jixi Pumped Storage Power Station in Anhui Province is located in Chishikeng, Lingqian Village, Fuling Township, Jixi County, and is located in the mountainous area of ​​southern Anhui. The linear distances from Hefei, Nanjing, Hangzhou, and Shanghai are respectively 240 km, 210 km, 140 km, and 280 km. The installed capacity of the power station is 1800 MW, the effective storage capacity of the reservoir is 8.67 million cubic meters, the normal storage level of the upper reservoir is 961 meters, and the normal storage level of the lower reservoir is 340 meters. The investment was jointly invested by the State Grid Xinyuan Company, Anhui, Jiangsu, and Shanghai (city) power companies, Xuancheng, and Jixi County governments. The total dynamic investment was 9.895 billion yuan. The drainage area of ​​the power station is 7.8 square kilometers, which is divided into two layers of reservoirs. The normal storage capacity is 23.72 million cubic meters, and the total installed capacity is 1.8 million kilowatts, which exceeds the total installed capacity of pumped-storage power plants currently existing and under construction in Anhui Province. Jixi pumped storage power station, the main power supply for the East China Power Grid, taking into account the Anhui power grid, will fully play the dual role of peaking and filling valleys after the completion of the power station, participate in FM, phased operation and emergency standby, to optimize the structure of East China and Anhui power grid To promote the development of new energy such as wind power, and to ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid plays an important role.
