Vishay Introduces New Quad Channel SPST CMOS Analog Switch

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. today announced two new family of four-channel SPST CMOS analog switches that combine high switching speeds with high signal bandwidth for a wide range of switching applications including audio, video, data and power .
The Vishay Siliconix DG451 and DG454 devices feature four independently selectable 44V SPST switches, each with a typical on-resistance of 4Ω and a typical flatness of 0.2 Ω, which are ideal for low distortion audio signal switching.
All of these devices are pin compatible with Vishay Siliconix DG411, DG412 and DG413 with very low on-resistance and ultra-fast switching times. In addition, the DG454 family offers the advantage of eliminating the need for logic voltage pins. The benefits of this feature include the ability to operate without a 5V supply, eliminating the need to connect PCB traces to logic voltage pins and power sequencing.
DG451 and DG454 are normally closed, while DG452 and DG455 are normally off. Both DG453 and DG456 have two switches that are normally closed and two switches that are normally open. These choices give designers the right Switch conditions during startup to meet the needs of their specific application.
These new switches are optimized for analog switching applications, including audio, data, video and power switches, as well as audio and video systems, high-precision automated test equipment, data acquisition systems, relay replacement systems, communication systems, automotive and avionics. Data collection in the system and sampling and retention system.
These high voltage devices are fully specified using two power supplies of ±5V and ±15V and a single 12V supply. They feature fast switching speeds from ton 80 ns to toff 60 ns and an analog signal range of ±15V. The DG451 series consumes as little as 15μw.
All digital inputs have logic thresholds of 0.8V and 2.4V to ensure low voltage TTL/CMOS compatibility. When closed, each switch is equally conductive in both directions and can handle the range of input signals that extend to the supply rail.
These devices are available in TSSOP16 or SOIC-16 packages and are compliant with the rohs standard.
Samples and production quantities of the DG451 and DG454 series of analog switches are available now, with lead times of 6 to 8 weeks for larger orders.
