According to the latest research from the supply chain survey conducted by the market research organization IDC's global hardware assembly research team, the global smart phone industry manufacturing volume in the third quarter of 2015 is relatively the second in 2015 due to the traditional peak season and the slowdown in economic growth. The quarter grew by 6.9%, slightly lower than originally expected. The top ten smart phone assembly rankings in the world showed a rebound in mainland Chinese manufacturers and a slight decline in Taiwanese business.
Gao Hongxiang, research manager of the global hardware assembly research team, pointed out: In the third quarter of 2015, among the top ten smart phone manufacturers in the world, China’s smart phone manufacturers are actively launching new models due to their major customers, mainland Chinese brands and local brands in emerging markets. In the peak season, its ranking has rebounded remarkably. As for the smart phone assembly plant in Taiwan, it was affected by the unsatisfactory supply of some parts of Apple's mobile phones and the continued decline in Sony's shipment scale. The assembly rankings showed a slight decline.
According to IDC's global hardware assembly research team's global smart phone industry competition ranking, the world's top ten smart phone assembly manufacturers in the third quarter of 2015 were Samsung, Foxconn, VIVO, LG, Huaqin, OPPO, Flextronic, Pegatron, Wingtech, Inventec. Huaqin, Wentai, Tianxi (TINNO), Wind and CK Telcomm are the top five smart phone manufacturers in China.
