Both devices are manufactured using Atmel's high-voltage 0.8 um BCD-on-SOI technology, which allows for a smaller, lower cost 7mmx7mm QFN package.

ATA6833 / 34 is the industry's first batch of brushless DC motor drive integrated circuits with integrated drivers, process monitors, voltage regulators and LIN interface functions in a single integrated circuit. It can promote ultra-small designs and help reduce the total system cost by about one-third. In addition, a higher level of integration reduces the number of solder joints and thus improves the quality of the circuit board.

ATA6833 is a basic chip of a brushless DC motor system with three half-bridge gate drives. Through the integrated charge pump, 3 push-pull stages can drive 6 external NMOS transistors. The integrated process monitor monitors the microcontroller (such as Atmel's ATmega32M1 for automobiles), and the microcontroller's current is provided by the integrated voltage regulator, which sets the output voltage to 5V or 3.3V. 100mA current. An integrated LIN 2.1 transceiver based on Atmel's independent LIN transceiver ATA6662 completes the basic functions of the system. In standby mode, its power consumption is less than 50 microamperes.

ATA6833's high-temperature counterpart, ATA6834, can handle chip operating temperatures up to 200 degrees Celsius, making it ideal for all high-temperature "in-the-hood" applications where the transmission handles hot exhaust gas streams or hot oil. To save space, the ECU can be attached to the turbocharger or used to build an electromechanical integrated device together with the pump motor.

ATA6833 / 34 provides multiple protection functions, including two-step thermal warning and thermal interruption, as well as no-load, overload, short circuit and low-voltage monitoring with cut-off function. In order to protect the external NMOS transistors, the built-in shoot-through protection device can help prevent the high-side and low-side transistors between the power supply and ground from being activated at the same time, which is very dangerous. Customers can adjust the failure time through an external resistor / capacitor combination to meet the needs of their NMOS transistors.

These devices meet strict automotive specifications (conducted interference protection, EMC, and ESD protection) and can withstand the transients specified in ISO / TR 7637.

Samples of the new brushless motor drive integrated circuit ATA6833 / 34 are now available in QFN48 package with a size of only 7mmx7mm. The unit prices of ATA6833 and ATA6834 are priced at US $ 2.95 and US $ 3.30 respectively. Fiber optic adapters (also called couplers) are designed to connect two fiber optic cables together. They come in versions to connect single fibers together (simplex), two fibers together (duplex), or sometimes four fibers together (quad).
Adapters are designed for multimode or singlemode cables. The singlemode adapters offer more precise alignment of the tips of the connectors (ferrules).
