Improvement of point-to-point and short message protocol of electric energy telemetry system

This paper proposes and studies and designs an electrical energy telemetry system based on the GSM network . The system connects to the entire GSM network through the GSM module, and then transmits information through the GSM network. The whole system has the characteristics of high reliability and high stability.

Electric energy telemetry system is the product of the development of power grid automation technology and computer technology to a certain extent, and is an important part of the entire power system automation project. It is mainly used for remote parameter setting and electric energy collection of multi-function meters within a certain range, and at the same time realizes analysis and statistics of the collected data at the master station. At present, there are many versions of the power telemetry system, and there are many media based on it, such as local area network, public telephone network, dedicated communication network, optical fiber or wireless. The electrical energy telemetry system we proposed is based on the currently widely used GSM network, which uses short messages and point-to-point transmission of data.

1 Introduction to GSM data service and SMS communication

1.1 Overview of data services

GSM (Global System for Mobile CommunicaTIons) means the global mobile communication system. Mobile data communication is a communication method developed on the basis of data communication. In the past, data communication relies on wired transmission, so it is only suitable for communication between fixed terminals or computers. Mobile data communication transmits data by radio waves, so it is possible to realize data communication in a mobile state. As a data communication network medium, it realizes two-way real-time data communication across provinces and cities nationwide. In a narrow sense, mobile data communication is wireless communication between computers or between computers and people. It extends the application of wired data networks to mobile and portable users by interconnecting with wired data networks.

1.2 Overview and Features of Short Message Service

The GSM short message digital communication platform uses GSM short messages for long-distance wireless communication. Its biggest feature is the use of the GSM digital cellular mobile communication network with the widest coverage, strongest functions, and most users in China. As a communication method, GSM short message has the characteristics of low communication cost, not limited by communication lines and regional restrictions, and can communicate in both Chinese and English short messages. It is convenient, flexible and fast to communicate. In addition, GSM communication has the characteristics of high confidentiality, high reliability, and strong anti-interference ability, which guarantees the accuracy and stability of data transmission, and provides a complete communication protocol for both parties, making it easy for users to develop on this communication platform Row.

2 System master plan

2.1 System overview

As shown in Figure 1, the system consists of a main station (including a front controller, multiple workstations and a database server) located in the power bureau and a terminal located in a large user.

The main station system is on the PC, based on the Windows2000 operating system, developed under the Delphi5.0 platform. The terminal system communicates with the large user's energy meter through RS485 serial port communication and uploads power and power data; communicates with the PDA through the infrared communication port and uploads power and power data to the PDA; on the other hand, it uses the GSM network to The message communication method communicates with the master station located in the power bureau. On the one hand, the main station system located in the electric power bureau communicates with the terminal system located in the large user through the GSM network in the form of short message communication, so as to realize the remote setting of various parameters of the terminal system and the data of the power consumption and demand; The existing MIS network database (ORACLE, SYBASE, etc.) is used as the background database. In this way, not only the electricity planning department can use the database to carry out various balance analysis, line loss analysis and various power analysis statistics, but also share it with other departments of the electric power bureau.

2.2 Functional planning

In the whole system, the main station can be divided into two according to the functions: one is to analyze the statistics of the data, including the setting and editing of the terminal and meter parameter records, and the analysis and statistics of the collected power and the defined amount; the other is to communicate with the terminal Communication. The terminal can also be divided into two parts: one is the 485 communication, that is, the bear market between the terminal and the meter, according to the parameters or commands downloaded by the master station, the meter reading action; the other is the communication with the master station through the GSM network, The electricity copied from the meter will be sent to the main station. Among them, the setting process of the terminal and the meter parameters of the master station is point-to-point dialing, which is realized through the data service of the GSM network, which guarantees the real-time transmission and reliability of the parameter transmission. The meter reading command sent by the master station and the power sent by the terminal are all realized through the short message service. as shown in picture 2.
