**OLED Display Manufacturers - Representing South Korea's Samsung, Japan's JDI, and China's Tianma** Samsung, a leading South Korean company, holds a dominant position in the OLED industry. Alongside another major player, LG, Samsung has pioneered advancements in both small and large OLED displays. Samsung is not only the largest multinational conglomerate in South Korea but also ranks among the world’s top 500 companies. With subsidiaries spanning electronics, finance, aviation, and more, Samsung continues to lead in innovation and production. In the OLED sector, Samsung operates three main production lines: A1 (experimental), A2 (flat and flexible panels), and A3 (flexible panels). The A3 line is set to increase its monthly capacity from 15,000 to 30,000 substrates. Additionally, Samsung plans to build a new sixth-generation facility called "A5" in Cheonan and Asan, which will be the world's largest OLED panel factory. With a projected monthly output of 270,000 units, this plant will significantly boost Samsung’s market dominance. Samsung currently holds a 98% market share in small and medium-sized flexible OLED panels, backed by strong cost advantages. While other competitors are catching up, Samsung is already preparing for the next generation of OLED technology, aiming to maintain its leadership in both product quality and mass production. In contrast, Japan’s JDI (Japan Display Inc.) has taken a more conservative approach to OLED development. Despite being a joint venture between Sony, Hitachi, and Toshiba, JDI has been slower to innovate. However, it remains an important supplier for Apple, with some iPhone models still using JDI LCD panels. JDI is also working on advanced display technologies like the "Full Active" panel, which is expected to make up over 70% of its mobile division revenue by 2019. China’s Tianma Microelectronics, established in 1983, has grown into a major player in the display industry. With support from LG, Tianma has gained access to advanced OLED equipment, including film packaging machines. These tools help protect OLED panels from oxygen and moisture, ensuring better performance and longevity. Tianma aims to start mass production of OLED panels in 2018, marking a significant step forward in China’s OLED capabilities. Regarding OLED display prices, Samsung offers a range of high-quality OLED monitors. For example, a 32-inch OLED computer display from Samsung is known for its vibrant colors and superior image quality. While the exact price may vary depending on the model and region, these displays are considered premium products due to their cutting-edge technology and performance. Overall, the OLED industry is rapidly evolving, with Samsung leading the way, JDI making gradual progress, and Chinese manufacturers like Tianma gaining ground. As demand for OLED technology continues to grow, the competition is expected to intensify, driving further innovation and improvements in display technology.
