**OLED Display Manufacturers – Representing South Korea, Japan, and China** Samsung, a leading South Korean company, is one of the top players in the OLED industry. Alongside LG, Samsung has taken the lead in both small and large OLED displays. While Samsung dominates the mobile screen market, LG leads in TV panels. These companies are considered pioneers in the OLED field. Samsung Group, the largest conglomerate in South Korea, operates across various sectors including electronics, finance, chemicals, and more. Its subsidiary, Samsung Electronics, plays a key role in the global display industry. Samsung has three main production lines for OLED: A1 (experimental), A2 (flat and flexible panels), and A3 (flexible panels). The A3 line is set to increase its monthly capacity from 15,000 to 30,000 substrates. Additionally, Samsung plans to build a new sixth-generation OLED factory called "A5" in Cheonan and Asan, which will be the world's largest OLED panel plant, with a monthly output of up to 270,000 units—30% higher than the current A3 line. If construction starts this year, mass production could begin in 2019. Samsung currently holds a 98% market share in flexible OLED panels and continues to invest heavily in R&D. It is expected to maintain its dominance in the industry for years to come. In Japan, JDI (Japan Display Inc.) is working to catch up with South Korean competitors and reduce pressure from Chinese manufacturers. JDI has been exploring partnerships with companies like Sharp to advance its OLED technology. Although JDI has been slow in adopting OLED, it benefits from its strong background in traditional display technologies. Recently, Apple confirmed that some iPhone models in 2018 will still use JDI’s LCD panels. JDI also expects its "Full Active" panels, which offer ultra-narrow bezels, to account for over 70% of its revenue in 2018-2019. China's Tianma is another key player in the OLED space. With support from LG, Tianma has acquired advanced OLED equipment, including film packaging machines, to improve its production capabilities. LG provided the latest OLED process technology to Tianma, enabling it to start mass production of OLED panels in the second quarter of 2018. This collaboration marks a significant step forward for China’s domestic OLED industry. When it comes to pricing, Samsung offers a range of OLED displays, including 32-inch computer monitors. These high-quality screens are known for their vibrant colors and energy efficiency, making them popular among professionals and consumers alike. As OLED technology continues to evolve, prices are expected to become more competitive in the future.
