Visteon provides innovative audio solutions for Tata Nano models
Visteon provides supporting equipment for the Tata Nano ultra-low-cost vehicles that have recently been successfully introduced to the market. Visteon's products on this model include an audio system that can be selected at dealers, and a lightweight intake manifold that improves the quietness of the two-cylinder engine.

This innovative audio system for Nano is based on Visteon's acclaimed "Tiger" car radio platform and was jointly developed by the Visteon Technical Service Center in Chennai, India and the Visteon China Technical Center in Shanghai. The platform solution shortens the development cycle and improves the flexibility, and can expand the sound function according to the specific application needs.
Visteon's supporting audio system includes a customized audio control panel with a highly integrated human-machine interface and innovative installation angles and methods to meet Nano's unique requirements.
The sound system comes with a series of in-car entertainment solutions, custom speakers and radio antennas, and provides a total of four different levels of configuration to meet the diverse needs of Nano car owners, including the common configuration from AM / FM radio with auxiliary input, To a complex configuration with CD player, USB interface and Bluetooth wireless function.
Nano owners can connect mobile phones wirelessly via Bluetooth to achieve hands-free communication in the car, and can play music in the mobile phone through the car audio system in a streaming manner. Owners can also connect a USB Flash Drive or MP3 player in the car through the auxiliary interface of the audio system and the USB interface.
Visteon is working with Nippon Audiotronix, a well-known company in the Indian car audio market, to promote, sell, distribute and support the audio system under the Tata brand in India. All Tata car dealers in India are currently accepting appointments to install the above sound systems.
In addition, Visteon also provides engine intake manifolds for Nano models, which can evenly distribute the combustible gas mixture to each intake port in the cylinder head. The intake manifold is made of plastic, designed by TACO Visteon Engineering Design (TVEC), and produced by Tata Visteon Automotive (TVAP), both of which are joint ventures of Visteon and Tata Automotive Systems. Compared with the traditional aluminum intake manifold, the plastic intake manifold can reduce the weight of 35%, and can ensure the stability of the engine intake and improve the performance of the engine. In addition, the acoustic performance of the vehicle has been improved, and intake noise, interior noise, and junction noise have been reduced.
