At the beginning of this year, a user shared that their TV suddenly started acting up. It worked fine when the time was good or bad, but as soon as they moved the TV, the screen would show flower patterns, horizontal and vertical lines, or the sound would always be there. Sometimes it would shut down and then turn back on with a strange image or cross lines. If they moved the TV at that point, it might go back to normal. Initially, I thought it might be a poor contact issue between the logic board and the screen cable. They took it back to the store and replaced the logic board, but the problem remained. It was really confusing because if the contact was bad, the issue should have been related to the motherboard. However, the screen had a distorted frame, so we decided to check the COF cable on the side panel one by one. When pressing the first block on the right, the image problem appeared again. After checking multiple times, we concluded it was either a problem with the COF screen bonding or the edge board connection. Eventually, we found out that the side board was faulty. We tried hot pressing with an iron wire, but that didn’t help. So, we carefully scraped off a small part of the patent leather coating, applied rosin solution, used a soldering iron and a magnifying glass, and after several attempts, we finally fixed it. The joy of solving the problem was incredible—it felt like a big achievement. In the future, if you encounter similar issues, don't immediately assume it's a screen problem. A careful inspection may reveal that it's just a loose connection. You can fix it yourself without too much trouble. I'm sharing this experience in case it helps someone else. I hope everyone who reads this finds it useful and avoids unnecessary stress.
