Asphalt Standard Viscometer
The operating procedures are as follows:
1. Turn on the power supply to start the device.
2. Based on the test label and technical specifications, select the appropriate diameter of the oil groove.
3. Use a metal lever to block the oil hole to prevent any unwanted flow during setup.
4. When adding water, make sure it is not overfilled to avoid overflow or inaccurate readings.
5. Take the sample and place it in the cup to melt according to the required conditions.
6. Adjust the thermal conductivity electrode to the desired temperature as per the asphalt requirements, then turn on the heating switch. Once the temperature stabilizes, push the metal rod forward so that the asphalt flows into the measuring cylinder. Add an appropriate amount of water to the sample as it flows into the cylinder.
For 25ml: Press the stopwatch to start, and stop when the sample reaches the 25ml mark.
For 100ml: Stop the stopwatch once the sample reaches the 100ml mark and record the time elapsed.
7. After completing the test, turn off the power to ensure the device is safely shut down.
