On September 11, 2017, the China International Sensor Technology and Application Exhibition kicked off in Shanghai, hosted by the China Sensors and Internet of Things Industry Alliance (SIA). The event brought together hundreds of leading Chinese and international sensor companies, showcasing the latest trends and innovations in the industry. With a focus on the fusion of sensor technology and the Internet of Things, the exhibition highlighted the growing importance of smart sensing solutions in various sectors.
Goer Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Gool") was one of the standout participants, presenting its cutting-edge MEMS microphones, 3D sensing modules, and micro-projection interactive systems. As the largest supplier of MEMS sensors in China, Gool demonstrated its comprehensive sound and light intelligent sensing solutions, drawing significant attention from visitors and industry experts alike.
One of the key highlights at the exhibition was Gool's LBS (Laser Beaming Scanning) micro-projection technology. As the only provider of this solution in China, Gool showcased a micro-projection module integrated into the Green Orange VOGA smartphone, along with an LBS-based image interaction module. These products offer advantages such as no focusing required, vibrant color saturation, low power consumption, and compact size. On the MEMS sensor front, Gool presented advanced air pressure sensors, combined sensors, and heart rate sensors. Its air pressure sensor, using capacitive MEMS technology, features the smallest package size (2 x 2 x 0.76mm) and the highest measurement accuracy (up to 0.6Pa), capable of detecting even small height changes. It is widely used in consumer electronics, especially in high-precision applications like drones and aircraft models.
The company's combined sensors integrate microphones, barometers, and temperature sensors, optimizing signal processing and calibration algorithms to eliminate cross-talk between components. This not only enhances functionality but also reduces space and cost. Gool’s heart rate sensor combines a photosensitive unit with an ASIC circuit, offering flexible LED configurations and supporting a range of applications from smartphones to wearables.
As a leader in acoustic MEMS technology, Gool has secured the top position in global microphone shipments and ranks second in the MEMS microphone market. At the exhibition, it also showcased high-performance, compact MEMS microphones and microphone array modules. Its 4-microphone array solution supports noise cancellation, echo suppression, and beamforming, making it ideal for smart speakers and other audio-enabled devices.
Being one of the few Chinese companies ranked among the top 20 in the global MEMS market, Gool has strong manufacturing capabilities and access to world-class clients.
