First, the scope of application:

The device uses a single-phase asynchronous motor, a reducer, and a chain drive system to rotate the bottle around its axis. The test specimen is placed between the rotating bottle and the water.

This equipment is suitable for evaluating the compatibility between specific-grade aggregates and modified emulsified asphalt. It complies with the JTG E20-2011 "Test Procedures for Asphalt and Asphalt Mixtures in Highway Engineering" T0758-2011 standard for testing the compatibility grade of slurry mixtures.

Second, structure and features:

The system consists of a single-phase asynchronous motor, reducer, chain drive, rotating mechanism, and rotating bottle installation. The electrical components include a counter, proximity switch, and other control elements. The design is both functional and aesthetically pleasing, making it ideal for laboratory use.

Third, technical parameters and specifications:

Fourth, installation and commissioning:

1. Install and wire the electrical and control panel.

2. Mount the spindle: Fix the rotating frame onto the main shaft. Insert a flat key and secure the sprocket to the main shaft using the same key. Attach the end of the main shaft to the bearing on the base. Ensure the sprocket is fixed through the chain box hole. Secure the bearing housings on both sides of the side bearing to the main frame, chain coupling, and sprocket on the reducer.

3. Adjust the chain tension by adjusting the reducer base to fix the reducer bracket and bearing bracket.

On the control panel, from left to right, you will find: the counter, reset button, start button, stop button, and power main switch. The counter can be set to values between 0–9999 × 100 and has a power-down memory function. To restart, simply press the reset button to return to zero.

To perform the test, first fill the rotating bottle with about three-quarters of water, then place the test piece inside. Seal the cap with an O-ring and align the center hole at the bottom of the bottle with the tip of the fixed end on the rotating frame. Align the center hole on the cap with the grip knob’s tip and turn the knob to securely fasten the cap. Repeat this process for all rotating bottles. After installation, close the front door and upper cover. Set the counter to 3600 (equivalent to 3 hours), press the reset button to zero, and then press the start button to begin the test. When the counter reaches the set value, the device will stop automatically, and the test will be complete.

Sixth, equipment maintenance:

1. Grease the bearings once a year in May and November.

2. Apply grease to the chain every three months.

3. Replace the gear unit annually.

4. After each test, clean the rotating bottle thoroughly to ensure optimal performance for future tests.
